<sup>Lucas noticed her looking at him as he laughed. "What?" He asked, a small smile still on his face. His mind was running with thoughts of how good she looked in that bathing suit. Woah, perv alert! Why was he thinking that? Why couldn't he just think she was pretty, and that was it? Face it...he's a teenage boy. Teenage boys thought these things, grossly enough. And it wasn't like Skylar could read his mind, thank god. Lucas was kind of paranoid about that kind of stuff. He wondered what she would say if she knew how he was feeling about her right now. Skylar would probably be surprised...and gently let him down. Luke hated when people acted all sympathetic when telling him that they didn't like him. It was so fake.

"Yeah...I'll talk to Holly." He repeated, mostly to himself. Honestly, he probably wouldn't. At least, not right away. Holly would get it out of him eventually though. And hopefully she'd keep it to herself. She was good at keeping his secrets, but this one also involved her best friend, so he didn't know how good she would be then. Hopefully Holly wouldn't go running to Skylar and telling her...that would be bad. Luke needed to tell her himself, even though that would probably be kind of hard. He wasn't shy around people, but when it came to telling girls how he felt about them...he froze right up.

Lucas finally resurfaced after a few minutes, laughing. "You know, we're not being very nice." He smirked, shaking his head so the water sprayed everywhere. He waded over to the edge of the pool and hoisted himself up so he was sitting, and could let the sun dry him off. "But that was pretty refreshing. I love swimming." He grinned, looking over at Skylar.
