This is when Sky broke free from her parents and went off on her own, bouncing around from staying with friend to friend. She vowed to never fall in love and to always be strong and independent. Then she met Derek when she was sixteen. He was sexy and charming and Sky got lost in him, allowing herself to open up.
Derek and Sky were inseparable for the first few months of their relationship. He was her prince charming and she fell head over heels for him. However, that was soon short lived when Derek became controlling. He went crazy when she even spoke to another guy, and their constant blow ups soon turned into physical fighting. Derek would often lash out at Sky, who was always willing to fight right back. The fights got so terrible that the two were often hospitalized. Sky tried running away from Derek several times. She would head out of town with a friend, or sometimes on her own, but he always had a way of finding her. Each time he found her, the fighting was worse than before.
Then Sky found out about a year long cruise. It was her perfect escape from Derek. She was discrete with booking her ticket, trying to find a job as a waitress on the boat in order to afford the stay. She hoped that Derek wouldn’t find his way onto the boat before it departed. Sky knows this is her final chance to erase Derek from her past and finally gain the happiness she has longed for.

Adrianna was sure she was going crazy. No human in their right mind would be so attracted to the danger that was only possible when these creatures were around. Maybe it was her lack of attachment to any other human being. Maybe it was her adventurous side. Whatever it was, she was addicted to vampires. She couldn't get enough of them. Ever since the first one had fed from her body, she was yearning to experience it once more. No, not once more. More like over and over again. That was probably why she found herself online in the dark back alley.
Ever since Adrianna had her first encounter with a vampire not so long ago, she had purposely placed herself in dangerous situations only hoping for the fearful creature to show up. Maybe she had gone insane. She honestly didn't care as long as her wants were taken care of. She slowly walked down the dreary alley, her short dress just barely covering her skin. She had also come accustom to revealing her skin at every chance she got. Of course it was winter, but she wanted to appeal to vampires. There was no better way than to show off her flesh, just waiting for them.
