dear diary,
life sucks. i am not going to deny it. but, really, what's the point to it? you just get into drama, start drama, live drama, and then get into more drama. you think you're in love with someone, but you're not. you think you know who your true friends are, but you don't. but one thing is for sure: life is complicated, and i don't know if i'm ready for it or not..
love? it's a little to much, honestly. i think it's too complicated for kids my age to understand, to even comprehend and use it to their advantage. see, loving someone means you want to be with someone for the rest of your life. sure, you are going to love someone, and it's going to fade. that's perfectly understandable, because that's happened to me. but you shouldn't just say "i love you" to someone you've been "dating" for a day, because you don't know that for sure.
you don't know anything for sure, and don't say you do. me? i don't know myself at all, and i'm still trying to figure myself out. maybe i will eventually figure myself out. maybe not. but, someday, i'll come together to make a better person then you ever thought i could be...
love,
kara.

that is what most students write in their personal journals.
everyone knows that they aren't the only kid in town
who has problems, who is going through a hard time. but
they don't want to admit it, aknowledge that fact. who does,
really? they're all spoiled rotten bitches tand have
everything they ask for (and don't ask for) handed to
them on a silver platter. but, that's all going to end
soon. or right away, seeing as these kids need a lesson in life.
they need to learn that they aren't at the top - that no
one can boss the other, that no one is better.
secrets at millerton academy aren't, well, secrets. somehow,
people can claw their way into your minds, into you, and
figure out what you don't want other people to know. once
they find out your secret, they spread it. in a small school,
news is going to spread fast. in a big school, news it going
to spread slowly, so you better make sure you can counter
what people are saying before you get your ass handed to
you on a silver platter. you may be asking: why would they
want to spread more rumors? my secrets? well, that's what
a lot of people wonder. the real reason? because they are
all hungry! hungry to eat you alive, hungry to make you
smaller then you really are. they just want to feel important.
so, if i were you, i wouldn't tell anyone your secrets.
however, they'll getout somehow, in some magical way
that neither of us knows how to explain. but whatever you
don't, don't trust me, or you just may regret it.
